The History and Winemaking Philosophy

Established in 1984 by the infamous restauranteur Leon Massoni and legendary winemaker Ian Homes, founder of Yellowglen. In 1996-2000 with the assistance of the Ursini family, we established the GlenKara Estate vineyard in the Victorian Pyrenees Ranges, boasting the largest vineyard in the region (269ha). In 2006, we purchased the Mt Eliza Estate vineyard (8.9ha) on the Mornington Peninsula.

Currently, all wines are made at the Dromana winery. Massoni specializes in making wines that stand the test of time. With many of our Pyrenees wines being released with 2-3 years of bottle age. 

Over the last 19 years, we have focused on making wines that our clients want to enjoy with their family and friends.
